HALLOWEEN, THANKSGIVING AND JOHNS FIRST PLAY DATE

John jr. had a great halloween. He was a little monkey for halloween and we took him trick or treating. We all so took him over to my grandparents house so they could see him all dressed up. We only took him around the block at my moms house. It was a little chilly that day.

Thanksgiving was a great day also. We went to my aunt and uncles house. And then we went to Johns sisters house to have thanksgiving with them and had a great time. Thanksgiving also was a very special day for me and John. It was the day our baby boy got to come home from the Nicu. Its hard to believe that hes been home a year now. Hes getting so big!! He weighs about 17 1/2 pounds now. He says mama now and babbles all the time. He also gets into everything he can get his little hands on. He also discovered how to open the dvd player today.

He had his first play date this week with Reagan. She was in the nicu the same time john was. Me and her mom Sam talk on the phone all the time but this was the first time the kids got to play together. Because it seemed like everytime we would make plans one of the kids would get sick. But John had a great time playing with Reagan. So much so that when they left little John would stand up at the door and cry because he didn't want them to go.

P.S. I almost forgot to write about little John sleeping in his own room now. Hes been sleeping in his own room for about three weeks now. It was hard on me for the first couple of nights because Im used to getting up at night and checking on him. But I have a baby monitor that works great. I can hear him breathing so that makes me feel better. It hasn't really bothered him any. The first night he got scared because he didn't know were he was but after that hes been doing good with it!!
