JOHNS E.N.T. APPOINTMENT

Yesterday I took John to his ENT (ears, nose and throat) appointment. I thought we where going in to just talk about his vocal cords since it was his first visit. BOY was I wrong!!! I had to forcefully hold him with all my might so the doctor could put a scope in his nose that went down to his vocal cords. And trust me he was not a happy camper nor was I for that matter. Little John is a lot stronger then he looks. Matter of fact the doctor had to do it two times because the first time john used his foot to unplug the scope from the machine. My hole body was sore from holding him so tight.

Before I tell you what he said I have to tell you right before we left to go to the doctors I noticed that he had a lump behind his right ear. So I thought since we where going to the doctors anyways that I would tell him about it. So here is what he said about everything.

1. He said that he would give his vocal cords until he was two years old to mix themselves. If they didn't by then he would operate on the left one to make it stay closed all the time instead of it being open all the time.

2. The first thing he said when he was putting the scope in his nose was that little John has enlarged adeniods. So those might be coming out soon.

3. The lump I found right before we left. Its a cyst on his thyroid. So if it doesn't go away it will have to be removed and checked for cancer. He said most come back benign. He said we have to keep a eye on it and if it gets bigger then he have to bring him in right away. He has another appointment with the ENT in three months. So I am praying that it will go away soon on its own.

So if you would keep him in your prayers and pray that all this stuff will heal itself. It seems sometimes that one thing leads to another to another and so on. He's a year old and the blows keep coming.

On a happier note little John is a very strong willed little guy and brings smiles to me and Johns face on a daily bases. He's came a very long way in a very short time. Last year at this time we didn't know if he was going to make it. He had a 40% chance of survial and just look at him now!! He's mobile and getting in to stuff!!! His army crawling is getting better and he's starting to sit longer by himself. Well I need to go and feed my little special guy!!!

I wanted to say thank you to my sister Bridgett for taking us to all of john Jr. Doctors appointments. When I ask her to take me she says OK when do you need to go. I'm really lucky to have a sister like her. Well I will update soon!! LOVE & HUGS!!!
