I guess I will start out with the bad news first. We are 80% to 90% sure Little John will be having another surgery soon. He has hip dysplysia. Your hip bone is at a 30 degree angle but Johns is at a 60 degree angle. It makes his left leg shorter than the right leg. We go to Indy(two hours away) on July 5 to see the surgeon. He will also have his surgery there. I know its good to have his hip fixed but this means he will be in a FULL body cast(legs and upper body) for 6 to 8 weeks. The surgeon will have to brake his bone and put it back together and put a pin in. Poor baby!! He goes through sooo much. Its a never ending thing for him.
He also had a MRI done to check is brain damage out and a eeg done. He has been having tremors that last about a second. Some times he will do it a couple of times a week and then he will go weeks at a time not doing it at all. The eeg was a nightmare they glued 27 wires on his head and he HATED every single minute of it. It was very upsetting to see him go through this. The MRI was a breeze. I got the results back yesterday. Hes not having seizures which is great news. His brain damage is still the same. He still has Mod. brain damage. The tremors are from that. His nerves in his brain aren't connecting. His doctor says that he might grow out of this or when he gets older he will feel it coming on and be able to stop them. When he has one it basically looks like a cold chill. So its not real bad.
OK some GOOD news. John is doing great things. He can sign 6 signs now. He knows "more, all done, milk, eat, fish and open." He can say " dada, mama, done, bud (for buddy the dog) Daven, baba, bubble, bye-bye, ball, baby and yum yum." If you ask him to go and get a certain thing like his elmo he will. He does new things all the time. Well guys I have to go John has therapy in 45 minutes so I will update later and keep everyone updated. Love and hugs to all.
